Joerg Ohle is President and General Manager of Bayer Corporation's Animal Health Division, North America. Bayer Animal Health is a leader in the manufacture and marketing of pharmaceuticals to control parasites and diseases in dogs, cats, horses, and cattle. As President and General Manager, Mr. Ohle is responsible for management and strategic direction of the North American animal health business. He also serves as a member of Bayer's worldwide Animal Health Management Committee.
Mr. Ohle's tenure with Bayer spans 28 years. He began his career with the pharmaceuticals division in Germany in 1977. In the years since, he has held leadership positions with a diverse range of Bayer businesses in a number of international markets, including Europe, Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia. Most recently, Mr. Ohle was head of Bayer HealthCare, Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for all aspects of Bayer's healthcare businesses, including animal health.
Since moving to Kansas City, Mr. Ohle has immersed himself in industry and community leadership assignments. He serves on the board of directors of the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute, the Kansas City Area Development Council, the American Royal, Starlight Theatre, and the Animal Health Institute, a national organization of animal health executives. He also has played an instrumental role in the advancement of an initiative to position the Kansas City region as a hub of animal health and nutrition activity.
Mr. Ohle holds a business degree from Bayer's International Management School in Leverkusen, Germany. He and his wife, children and two dogs, Dingo and Tusker live in Overland Park, Kan.
